DFL's High Impact Social Initiatives

Inspired by the founder’s vision, DFL champions community service and empowers young learners to lead with empathy, compassion, and a giving heart.
Joy of Sharing is DFL’s student-driven ‘Sewa’ fund-raising venture, embodying the ‘Service to Society’ ideology to support disadvantaged and underprivileged sections.
The student council manages the entire project, organizing diverse campus stalls and performances to attract visitors and raise funds.
Proceeds are donated to needy organizations, including orphanages, old age homes, and special schools.
The initiative achieved new dimensions when the school adopted an Indian Leopard at the Bannerghatta National Park in the academic year 24-25.
In the year 2025-26, the school donated a water purifier to a neighborhood government school.
Students accompany teachers to these sites to gain insight into the organizations’ operations and challenges.
The school has proudly hosted
eight editions of JOS to date,
marking its continued commitment to
community welfare.

DFL's High Impact Social Initiatives

SSR at DFL has ‘traversed to the next level’ with the initiation of the Children for NFI (CfNFI) movement. This novel endeavor involves DFL collaborating as a partner school with the Neonates Foundation of India (NFI), an eminent NGO with a national presence that assists parents of prematurely born babies from underprivileged sections of society
This powerful movement promotes the NFI cause through several practices:
Awareness: DFL hosts Art For a Cause (AFC), an interschool art event, to spread awareness among neighborhood schools.
Fundraising: Students and staff donate funds on their birthdays and on ‘Compassion Days’ specifically ear-marked for NFI.
Ambassadorship: Student ambassadors and teacher coordinators visit other schools, near and far, to propagate the CfNFI initiative.
Creative Outreach: Music club students have penned the lyrics, composed music, and recorded an anthem for NFI.
Identity
The CfNFI logo, designed by Meghna G Bhat of class 9, was ceremoniously unveiled on 09th August 2025.
